Musicals Interpretation Workshop

THE WORKSHOP

Its purpose is to train participants in the field of musical acting. The sessions combine the teaching of theatrical acting technique with vocal technique and singing, as well as body movement and dance. 

Classes and rehearsals are offered throughout the first four-month period and an exhibition with an audience at the Museum's theater at the end of the workshop (November 27).

Both classes and rehearsals are taught by professionals of great reputation in the theater world, among others, Guillermo González, Alejandra Barella, Inma Sánez and Javier Muñoz.

The workshop is directed by Jana Producciones, with the aim of bringing students to the basics of the interpretive art in a practical, enjoyable and professionally rigorous way. It starts from a conception of the actor as an instrument and interpreter of his art, therefore it seeks an interpretation that is sustained in the truth of emotions and with a global training that also incorporates dance, voice and body expression.

This artistic learning will also add tools for personal, social and public use, enhancing memory, teamwork skills, emotional self-control, oral and gestural expression, relaxation and concentration.

Class schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

- Recent photo

- Letter of motivation, why do you want to participate in the workshop?

- Brief CV related to theatrical interpretation

- Backtrack for singing or dancing (depending on the modality chosen)

- Short text or poetry

Auditions will be held on September 18 at the Museum's theater from 12:00 to 18:00. All registered students will receive an email with all the information about the casting.

Participants' profileAged between 17 and 24, the workshop is aimed at young people with an interest in the world of drama at a professional level and in the interpretation and production of musicals.
